The Austin Chapter/TSCPA CPA-PAC Committee organized a fun-raiser at TopGolf on May 22, 2018. We had many familiar faces and several new ones and everyone had a wonderful time! Nine lucky participants won door prizes that included gift cards to local eateries, but our top players and teams were:

  • Top golfer was John Sharbaugh, winner of a $100 gift card to Maggianos
  • 1st place team was the Weinheimer Team – Matt MacWilliams, Jesse and Laura Dominguez, Jessica Lopez, John Sharbaugh and Brett Passmore
  • 2nd place team was the BRAYN Consulting Team – Justin DeLauro, Matt and Justin Malcom, Steve and Nathan Joiner and Clint Zgarba
  • 3rd place team was the Paychex Team – Whitney Kuryak, Lynne Dodge, Bang Huynh, David Myers and Arianne Sclerandi

The Austin CPA Chapter also recognized two great volunteers at the event: Jessica Sajak (Chapter Team Member of the Year) and Jack Cook (Future CPA of the Year. ) Both members were awarded for their passion and involvement with LEAP.

This event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors. Special thanks to our Title Sponsor, Xero Corporation for their support of the chapter and the profession over the past year. Our other sponsors include: Paychex, Malcom Accounting Services, LLC, Bette Williams, CPABlackLineBRAYN Consulting LLC and Matt MacWilliams, CFP®, Weinheimer Wealth Management.

If you were unable to attend this event, but would like to support the TSCPA CPA-PAC, please click here. With the CPA profession undergoing Sunset Review during the 2019 Legislative Session, NOW is the time to support local legislators who understand the importance of a sound Texas economy and the critical role of the CPA in preserving the state’s business climate. For a minimum $100 donation you’ll receive Last Week in the Legislature from John Sharbaugh, TSCPA’s Managing Director of Governmental Affairs during the 2019 Legislative Session. John’s weekly newsletter provides a unique insight, sometimes with humor, into the workings of the legislature as it relates to bills of interest to CPAs.
